Dr. Gigena began his medical school education at Cordoba National University Medical School University Medical School in Cordoba, Argentina, where he graduated in 1998. He began a General Surgery residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ, from 2002 to 2003 and then completed his residency from 2003 to 2007 at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.

In 2007, Dr. Gigena’s training led him to Willamette Valley Medical Center in Oregon, where he worked as a Board Certified General Surgeon. After four years of working as a General Surgeon in the beautiful wine country of McMinnville, OR, he left to pursue his true passion of becoming a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

Dr. Gigena completed a three-year residency Fellowship program in Plastics and Hand Surgery at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. After completing his Fellowship, he worked as a Plastic Surgeon at Promedica Health Systems in Toledo, Ohio, from 2014 to 2016.

His deep appreciation for the Arizona desert and the lifestyle it offers ultimately brought Dr. Gigena and his family back to Arizona, where he initially lived in Tucson. After years of experience serving patients in the Willamette Valley, he and his wife decided to return with their four children to build the next chapter of their lives in Arizona. Today, Dr. Gigena proudly practices in Scottsdale, where he continues his commitment to exceptional patient care and surgical excellence.
